Denny Adams founded Adams Tech Strategies LLC (ATS) in 2020 after a rewarding 37-year career with Lockheed Martin. ATS clients benefit from the skills he developed during four decades of winning and executing defense R&D programs. ATS consulting allows him to continue the work he enjoys most – collaborating with talented technologists to deliver game-changing solutions to the customer.
After receiving BSEE and MSEE degrees, his early career focused on designing analog and digital hardware, embedded computer architectures, real-time software and digital signal processing systems. Later, his roles expanded to include systems engineer, chief architect, technical director, program manager and business development. Throughout his career, he met frequently with DARPA and Navy, Air Force and Army Laboratory customers to understand their capability gaps and help focus research toward innovative solutions. He generated hundreds of technical presentations and dozens of successful proposals – and then helped execute the resulting R&D programs for DoD applications ranging from sonar signal processing to electro-optic/infrared systems and high energy laser weapons. His research helped advance the state of the art for these technologies while yielding six patents and numerous technical papers.
He is a Senior Life Member of the IEEE Signal Processing Society and a member of the Directed Energy Professional Society. He enjoys travel with his wife, projects with his three married kids and five grandchildren, woodworking, backpacking, and blues/jazz harmonica (which he’ll play for you with little prompting).
